The Independent Commission for Peace and National Cohesion (ICPNC) on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, facilitated a follow-up meeting at the Office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Komba Kamanda.

The meeting brought together representatives of the All People’s Congress (APC), the National Moral Guarantors, the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ), the Attorney General, and other key stakeholders.

The engagement focused on the implementation of the Tripartite Recommendations and served as a follow-up to the most recent meeting with the International Moral Guarantors.

Discussions reviewed progress made on agreed commitments and timelines as implementation efforts continue toward the December target.

According to the ICPNC, the engagement forms part of its mandate to promote peace, dialogue and national cohesion by bringing together relevant institutions and stakeholders to monitor progress, encourage collaboration and support the effective implementation of the Tripartite Recommendations.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to fostering dialogue, strengthening trust among stakeholders and supporting the successful implementation of the recommendations in the interest of lasting peace and national cohesion in Sierra Leone.
