According to reports, the son of Inspector General of Police, Joseph Sovula and eleven others workers at Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) have been arrested and are currently detained at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for fraudulently printing motor drivers licenses.

The arrested and detained suspects are attached at the Management Information Systems (MIS) department of SLRSA.

Independent Observer reports that one Umar, who is not working at the SLRSA but has direct access to SLRSA password used to print motor drivers license and other facilities at the MIS Department was also arrested and detained at CID.

It is alleged that they have printed thousands of license sold at the cost of Le300,000 to the public.

It is also reported by the Finance Department of SLRSA that they have lost hundreds of millions of Leones from this fraudulent printing of motor drivers licenses.

The Road Safety Corps unearthed this deal, as the matter is currently under investigation.
