Prominent Sierra Leonean rapper and songwriter, Joel Fanka Kargbo popularly known as “Jooel” has pleaded for President Julius Maada Bio to grant Marcy to follow rapper, Alhaji Amadu Bah aka “Boss La.”
Jooel made this appeal in response to President Bio’s tweet, where he congratulated him for receiving a spotlight from BBC News Africa.
He thanked President Bio for acknowledging his work so far and then pleaded for mercy for Boss La.
According to Jooel, Boss La is like a brother to him and a fellow musician in the Sierra Leone entertainment industry.

Boss La was on Friday 17th March 2023 sentenced to 9 years imprisonment and a fine of Le40,000,000 to be paid to the state and victims after being found guilty of four counts of charges, including assaults, robbery, etc.
