The presiding High Court Judge, Justice Adrian Fisher will today, 23rd November, 2022 deliver final judgment in the contempt proceedings matter between Alfred Peter Conteh and Former President Koroma and others.

The contempt proceedings have been brought against Alfred Peter Conteh by the other parties through their legal representatives for contempt of court based on alleged unilateral decisions taken by the former in the Interim Transitional Governance Committee( ITGC) of the main opposition All People’s Congress(APC) contrary to the dictates of justice Fisher’s court order.

The learned judge’s ruling on the contempt matter will serve as a landmark judgment that will decide the fate of the party and set the roadmap for it to hold it National Delegates conference to elect national executives and a flagbearer within the stipulated time.

Prior to the delivering of judgment today, the judge last Friday 18th November, 2022, slammed an injunction on the ITGC, restricting it from carrying out any activity that has to do with the APC.

The learned judge restrained the ITGC from carrying out any party activities and ordered the Inspector General of Police to effect arrest on any persons who will breach the injunction order and bring them before the court for contempt proceedings pending the final determination of ruling in contempt proceedings today.

The judge further ordered the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) to report to the court any breaches of the injunction order by any persons that may come to its attention.
