Dr. Kandeh K. Yumkella, the Chairman of the Energy Governance Coordination Group (EGCG), has expressed condolences to Hon. Abdul Kargbo, Leader of the Opposition, following a recent fire at his residence.
Dr. Yumkella emphasized the importance of addressing the situation calmly and thoroughly.
Dr. Yumkella also contacted the Director General of the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA), upon recognizing the gravity of the fire, requesting a thorough research.
“I also called the DG of EDSA to undertake an investigation, in cooperation with other competent authorities.”
In his call, he advised that EDSA work with relevant authorities to conduct a professional criminal investigation into the incident, which could have been caused by many factors.
“Fire incidents can occur for various reasons, and only a proper professional forensic assessment can determine the real cause.”
Dr. Yumkella emphasized that only a thorough inquiry could uncover the root cause of the fire incident, ensuring transparency and responsibility.
Police are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the event to determine any circumstances that may have led to the fire.
Why are they urging EDSA to launch investigation on opposition leader house, is it because of he/she is a politician? What about others, I mean we the citizens whom house has been bornt on fire by EDSA are we not important to be giving the same privilege. We voted for u people let there be the same treatment please Sir.
Again Iam not saying to investigate is wrong but let there be so amount of justice.
In some cases the innocent citizens suffer the same crime the politician committed, why they politician who committed will Scott free.
Please do not hard felling
You already speak the mind of the people, and God will bless you for that. I hope people will pick sense out of this, all they want is our vote not, it mean all the politician are all the same, they just want to benift and go, they don’t care about us or our problem.
