Sierra Leonean rapper and Ambassador for Entertainment, Amara Dennis Turay popularly known as Kao Denero has officially asked the organizers of National Entertainment Awards (NEA) to remove his name from the nomination list immediately.

Ambassador Kao Denero wrote a letter to the management and organizers of National Entertainment Awards to remove his name from the nomination list.

This came after the management released the voting instruction for the different nominees. Kao Denero who got the highest nominations including Best Male Artiste of the Year, Best Male Hip Hop Artiste, and many other nominations has asked the management to remove his name.

 

According to the official letter written to the management and organizers of NEA, the rapper is withdrawing his name because his attention or consent was not sought before the releasing of the list which he described as breaches standard protocols in the entertainment sector.

In 2020, Kao Denero became the highest recipient of NEA 2020 awards. The rapper took home three awards including “Best Male Artiste of The Year”, “Best Male Hip Hop Artiste” and “Best Hit Single – Kenyatta”.

With the highest nomination for NEA 2021 Awards, the rapper has informed the organizers to remove his name.
