The Mayor of Kenema city, Thomas Baio on the 17th of February, 2023 commissioned a first-class passengers’ shelter for members of the Sierra Leone Commercial Motor Bike Riders Union in Kenema as part of fulfilling a short time notice.
The Chief Administrator Kenema City Council, Joseph T. Gando, chaired the ceremony where he disclosed that the project was self-sponsored by the mayor with no external assistance.
The Mayor of Kenema City and the council have constructed over 120 culverts within the township based on demand by the people.
In his statement, the Mayor strongly revealed that his developmental landmarks in Kenema speaks volume because of President Bio and the SLPP, which serve as a backbone to every developmental project.
He thanked the people of Sierra Leone for believing in President Bio while calling on them to continueto support him during and after the June 2023 general elections.
He acknowledged the efforts of the NPPA BOSS, Ibrahim Brima Swarray for always complimenting President Bio’s efforts in all spheres of development adding that, he is always open towards the development of Kenema which presents is as a patriot.
The project was said to amass over One Hundred and Sixty Million old Leones(160,000Le)
He encouraged executive members of the B.R.U to take full ownership of the said structure for the benefit of all as they are the direct beneficiaries.
The ceremony was climaxed by the endorsement of Thomas Baio for a second term in office by stakeholders present at the occasion.
