The Kids’ Parliament Sierra Leone has honoured the Inspector General of Police (IGP), William Fayia Sellu, in recognition of his outstanding support and commitment to the welfare, protection and development of children across Sierra Leone.
They presented a framed appreciation portrait to commend IGP Sellu for his active participation in the Kids’ Parliament’s “Giving Back to Society, Children Supporting Children” initiative.
According to the organisation, the IGP’s involvement helped to bring hope, smiles and much-needed support to children within the beneficiary community.
The Kids’ Parliament commended IGP Sellu for believing in the potential of children and inspiring them to “dream bigger, aim higher and work for a better Sierra Leone.”

Kid’s Parliament said that the initiative forms part of their broader commitment to encouraging children to support one another, give back to their communities while playing a meaningful role in building a better society.
The honour comes shortly after the Kids’ Parliament formally expressed appreciation to IGP Sellu for his support towards the Giving Back to Society project. The organisation also indicated plans to engage the IGP on a proposed Back to School Project, aimed at supporting children in schools within the beneficiary community.
