In a recent gathering of former African Presidents, Ernest Bai Koroma, the Former President for the Republic of Sierra Leone, has expressed his unwavering dedication to the advancement of democracy in Africa.
The occasion was the Africa Drive for Democracy Conference and Elder’s Retreat, attended by prominent former heads of state from across the continent.
Koroma extended his gratitude to H.E Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, who presided over the event. He also called upon current leaders to join forces in the ongoing efforts to strengthen democracy in Africa.
Highlighting the significance of unity among leaders, Koroma emphasized the need for them to work collaboratively for the betterment of the people who entrusted them with their respective positions.
He stressed that this unity would pave the way for substantial improvements in democracy throughout the African continent, urging former and current leaders to stand together in the pursuit of continental unification.
