The First batch of 337 Sierra Leonean Pilgrims are expected arrive Freetown International Airport on Sunday, 23rd July 2023.

Press Attache in the Sierra Leone Embassy in Saudi Arabia, Abu Bah made the confirmation in various Social media handles.

‘‘The first batch of 337 Sierra Leoneans Pilgrims are expected to arrive at the Freetown International Airport on Sunday, 23rd July 2023 at 1:25PM local time. The Pilgrims are expected to departs Jeddah at 4;55 AM KSA time, ” Bah disclosed.

A total of 652 Pilgrims from Sierra Leone are Participating in the 2023 Hajj in Islam’s Holiest City of Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Ḥajj is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca , Saudi Arabia, the holiest city for Muslims. Hajj is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime by all adult Muslims who are physically and financially capable of undertaking the journey, and of supporting their family during their absence from home
