Metropolitan Police recruits undergoing intensive training at the Sierra Leone Peacekeeping and Law Enforcement Academy (SILEA) have been urged to uphold discipline, professionalism and mutual respect as they prepare to complete their final week of instruction.
The recruits received the message from SILEA Commandant ACP Brima Kamara, Esq., during a campus parade at the academy’s Hastings Campus, where he emphasized the standards expected of them as they transition into law enforcement service.
ACP Kamara reminded the recruits that effective policing will require close cooperation with other security and law enforcement institutions. He stressed that teamwork and strong inter-agency collaboration are essential to maintaining public safety and delivering effective services to communities.
The Commandant also announced that outstanding recruits will receive awards during the upcoming passing-out ceremony. The recognition will honour individuals who demonstrate exceptional conduct, diligence and leadership throughout the training programme.
With preparations for the graduation parade underway, ACP Kamara encouraged the recruits to remain focused and maintain high morale as they complete their training.
He urged them to carry the academy’s values of integrity, unity and dedicated service into their future assignments, emphasizing that discipline and professionalism should remain central to their careers in law enforcement.
