The Minister of Basic of and Senior Secondary Education David Moinina Sengeh has reacted  to the recent violence  incidences in Freetown that led to the death of police officers and Innocent civilians.

Dr Sengeh posted on his Twitter page” Violence must be condemned unequivocally particularly it’s unlawful use in the pursuit of political aims like what we saw yesterday in Freetown and other parts of the country.Our children and youth were used by faceless politicians to cause mayhem. Unacceptable!.”

The protest which degenerated into Violence led to the declaration of a curfew by His Excellency the Hon.Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr Juldeh Jalloh which came into force on the 10th August, 2022, to 7 am of 11th August 2022.

Many protesters and police officers have been reportedly killed in the clash said clash between the Sierra Leone Police and Violent protesters
