The Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security will host the National Labour Conference and Social Dialogue 2026 from 30 April to 1 May 2026 at the Miatta Conference Hall in Freetown.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Challenges and Opportunities of Decent Work in the Digital Era.” The event will bring together policymakers, development partners, employers, workers’ unions, informal economy representatives, digital innovators, and women entrepreneurs.
According to the Ministry, the two-day programme will include high-level social dialogue sessions, expert panel discussions, a Job Fair exhibition, and stakeholder engagements.
The conference forms part of activities marking May Day 2026. It aims to strengthen collaboration among government, workers, and employers while advancing inclusive labour policies, promoting women’s economic empowerment, and expanding decent employment opportunities in the digital era.
Registration for the event is open.
