The Ministry of Health and Sanitation, (MoHS) on Thursday 9th April 2024, received the sum of $17.6 million for the financial year 2024 and 2025 to support HIV service delivery in Sierra Leone.

The grant was approved following consultative discussions involving civil society organizations, government officials, local and multilateral partners.

Approved by H.E. Ambassador John Nkengasong, U.S. Global Aids Coordinator, this grant will strengthen HIV data systems, address the gaps inherent in community approach, reach women and children with HIV services and make every service provider accountable through community-led monitoring.

His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio and the Minister of Health, Dr. Austin Demby and the entire MoH family, appreciate the government and people of United States of America for their continued support.
