It has been reported that some people are determined to propagate untrue rumors about an impending increase in the cost of passports. On this regards Net-Page Sierra Leone has cleared the air over such allegations.

The Management of Net-page Sierra Leone claims that there hasn’t been a price increase for passports, but because the dollar exchange rate has fluctuated since the contract was awarded, it always seems as though there has been.

They went on to say that despite the soaring dollar cost, Net-page as a business had been incredibly considerate of Sierra Leoneans.

Management added that the increase in the dollar rate had an impact on businesses, including the sale of fuel and other commodities, and reiterated that it was not of their doing.

Additionally, it was emphasized that despite difficulties along the way, the company will make sure Sierra Leoneans kept benefiting from the positive working relationship with Net-page.

According to what was discovered, despite the fact that the dollar rate was significantly more than the local rate, they ensured that they provided quality service to the public by selling passports for less than $100, which is the equivalent in local currency for Sierra Leone (One million, three hundred thousand old Leones).
