The BnB Mobile App for overseas money transactions has been officially commissioned in collaboration with Orange Money Sierra Leone on Wednesday 8th February, 2023 at BnB headquarters Whiteman View Murray Town in Freetown.

This new development will ease the difficulty in the transacting of money outside Sierra Leone.

This partnership of Orange Money Sierra Leone and BnB Sierra Leone and Liberia to form a strong synergy to solve the cropping issue of payment for both home and abroad this will be a great boost for both parties including the beneficiaries.

In his statement, at the ceremony, Momadou Billy Kolade the Country Director for BnB said his institution as a digital financial transaction institution is fully complying with all the regulations of the Central Bank of Sierra Leone,  operating in several African Countries like Guinea, and Senegal, Liberia, Canada, Sierra Leone and many more.

Speaking on their goal and aim, he said they aimed to achieve in digitalization of the whole Africa added that bringing financial transaction at the doorstep of their costumers is also key and they will ensure to provide service to the grassroots, which is their topmost priority.

The Head of Strategy Marketing and Partnership of Orange Money Abibatu Batter on behalf of the CEO told the media that Orange Money and BnB had helped greatly in ensuring financial inclusion and that this partnership had started way back in the year 2000 when they had Launched Orange Money Overseas, but that today the Partnership has been actualized as well as the support of the two institutions people can now have access of sending and receiving money at their different homes.

Clarifying the compliance nature of both companies, Ibrahim Conteh Head of Sandbox and the Central Bank of Sierra Leone said that both institutions have been complying with the regulations of the Central Bank of Sierra Leone and that the two digital financial institutions have been guided by Sandbox in the Central Bank of Sierra Leone and commended them for their good services made available to people of Sierra Leone over the years.

The Deputy Director of Regulation and Supervision Department at the Central Bank of Liberia Supuwood Y. Tarpeh, said that Africa will grow together and appreciate the efforts being made by BnB and Orange Money which he referred to as a very good relationship and that BnB Liberia has been fully complying with the Centeral Bank of Liberia regulations and they have been protecting their customers, for which they stand firm to protect.
