Personnel of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) across the country have raised concerns over the delay in their rice supply for the past two months.
The Police officers said they are yet to receive rice supply for January and February as they normally received supply on the 15th of every month which they have not received for the past two months.
According to Global Times Newspaper, senior police personnel at police headquarters in Freetown stated that the supplier is owed a large amount of money which has resulted in the delay of supply for the past two months.
While speaking on the issue of delay, the Minister of Finance assured personnel that the issue will be treated with utmost priority.
It could be recalled that a few months back, the sierra Leone police received a six months backlog of supply and many are hoping not to return to such a situation again.
