Ten officers of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) have successfully completed a six-week training programme in Microsoft Applications, aimed at strengthening their digital and professional skills.
The training boot camp, funded by the Inspector General of Police, Mr William Fayia Sellu, was organised by BlueCrest College in collaboration with the SLP Training Directorate.
The programme concluded on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Wilkinson Road in Freetown.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Head of Training DSP Alpha Kamara expressed appreciation to the Inspector General for his continued support towards capacity-building initiatives within the Police.
He encouraged the participating officers to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training in the execution of their duties.
DSP Kamara further reminded the officers that, having benefited from the programme, they now have a responsibility to serve as ambassadors of the Sierra Leone Police and demonstrate professionalism in their respective assignments.
Delivering the vote of thanks, participant Marian Jawara expressed appreciation for the opportunity to participate in the programme.
She thanked Inspector General William Fayia Sellu and the management of BlueCrest College for investing in the professional development of the participating officers.
The completion of the training forms part of broader efforts to enhance the capacity of police personnel and equip officers with relevant digital skills needed in modern law enforcement.
The ceremony ended with a group photograph of the participating officers, trainers and officials.
