As the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) is set to give a ruling on the All Peoples Congress (APC) petition matter today 15th February 2023, authorities of the party have said the ruling has nothing to do with the conduction of their National Delegates Conference (NDC) which is scheduled for the 17th, 18th, and 19th February 2023.
Mohamed Kamara a senior member of the party stated that rumours around that the party will not hold its NDC this week are fake.
The Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) is expected to give judgment on the several petition matters that were brought to it by some aggrieved members of the main opposition All Peoples’ Congress (APC) regarding the conduct of its internal lower-level elections today Wednesday 15th February 2023.
He also stated that the 21-Man Interim Transitional Governance Committee of the party issued a notice stating that some aggrieved members have petitioned the ongoing lower-level elections which were conducted by the 25-Man Interim Independent Transitional Election Management Committee stating clearly that it has nothing to do with the planned NDC.
He further that the petition matters are going to be dealt with separately, while the preparation for the NDC continues.
