Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) has given a stern warning to the chairman b of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) interim Transitional Governace Committee (IGTC), Alfred Peter Conteh, over attempts to flout 2022 Party Constitution.

The stern warning came through an advisory press statement from PPRC to the APC ITGC following former Vice president Samuel Sumana and other Stalwarts members that had been expelled contrary to the 2022 Party Constitution.

The Commission reading the second limb of paragraph 90(10)(4) of the judgement b aforementioned in tandem with Article 13(f and g) of the 2022 Party Constitution cited therein, is of the view that, resigned, expelled or otherwise forfeited their membe of the party can only be reinstated or admitted by National Delegates Conference Organ of the Party..” PPRC Stated.

The release furthered that the forum for all meetings of the committee must not be less than eleven of its twenty-one members and and this is informed on the fact that His Lordship in his judgment was very unequivocal when he states in paragraph 90(10)(6) of the same. All decision of the committee
Shall be by a simple majority. It follows therefore that a meeting attended by less than eleven members cannot reach a decision of the committee, as any such will be less a simple majority of the committee. Any interpretation contrary, as in our opinion, self-serving and a recipe for disagreements among the committee’s members. ” PPRC Warned.

The commission also noticed there is now fierce rivalry between the nine members nominated by the committee Chairman and twelve members nominated by the part.

PPRC also reminded the committee that the electoral circle was at hand and time was of great essence as they owed it to the owners of the party- the ordinary members to put aside personal or group Intrest for now or in the furtherance of Party Intrest.
