President Julius Maada Bio has expressed profound sadness over the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Emir of the State of Qatar, extending condolences to the government and people of the Gulf nation.
In a condolence message, President Bio said he was deeply saddened by the news of the former Qatari leader’s passing and conveyed sympathies on behalf of the people of Sierra Leone.
“I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former Emir of Qatar. On behalf of the people of Sierra Leone, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the people of Qatar during this difficult time. May Allah grant him eternal rest,” President Bio stated.
The President’s message reflects Sierra Leone’s solidarity with the people of Qatar as they mourn the loss of a former national leader who played a significant role in the country’s development and international engagement.
