Popular magician, herbalist and a convicted murderer of DJ Clef, Baimba Moiforay commonly known as LAC was living a luxurious life after his release from Pademba Road Prison.

A video of the luxurious apartment where he was staying surfaced on social media which has brought other speculations to the public as the magician was living a standard life with securities from the Government of Sierra Leone.

Baimba Moiforay was convicted in 2015 after found guilty of killing DJ Clef in his house at Murray Town in Freetown. The murderer was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment and death by hanging.

On 1st January 2022, President Julius Maada Bio released Baimba Moiforay and 159 other prisoners from Prison as a Presidential pardon pursuant to S. 40 (4) (e) and S. 63 of the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone Act No. 6.

As public raised concerns for the release of the convicted murderer, President Bio revoked his actions while instituting an investigation into the process leading to the granting of the pardon.

The picture of Mr Moiforay posing with the sacked Attorney General and Minster of Justice, Mr Anthony Brewah and Information Minister Abdulrahman Swaray provoked further speculations about the role senior government officials might have played in the release of the magician. The scene of the photo, it turned out, was at the home of Mr Brewah in Tiama in the Moyamba District, where Moiforay hail from.

However, the Sierra Leone police has declared LAC wanted and Le10 Million reward has been declared for anyone that will capture the Magician or give information leading to his arrest.
