Elizabeth Massah Samura Kamara, wife of the newly elected flag bearer of the All People’s Congress (APC), Samura Kamara, has congratulated all members that emerged as winners of various positions contested in the party’s recently concluded National Delegates Conference.
This was done on social media on 23 February 2023, a day after her husband’s triumphant return to Freetown from the three-day convention held in Makeni.
She wrote:
“I want to congratulate all those who successfully won respective offices in the just concluded All Peoples Congress National Delegate Conference (NDC). For those who were unable to make it, you are all part of the team and remain focused on the task before us.
Thanks to the general membership of the party and all Sierra Leoneans who supported the process in diverse ways in making history that clearly defines the strength of our internal democracy.
The National Delegates Conference was historic as peace was strongly displayed. Congratulations to Dr. Samura Matthew Wilson Kamara for securing the highest votes cast during the elections as you are now the Leader of the party and Presidential Candidate of the APC come the 24th June 2023 general elections. On the 18th to the 20th of February, 2023, the main opposition All People’s Congress held its National Delegates Conference at the party’s head office in Makeni.
The party elected it’s national executive with Samura Kamara emerging as the flagbearer, Minkailu Mansaray ( Chairman), Osman F Yansaneh ( Deputy chairman), Lansana Dumbuya ( Secretary General), Osman Timbo ( Deputy sec. General), Bai Mamoud ( Organising secretary), Chernor Kamara (Deputy org. Sec. ),Sidi Yaya Tunis, Pope Kamara( Deputy PRO), Osman Jalloh (Financial Secretary), J.K Conteh( Deputy Financial sec.), Memunatu Koroma ( Treasurer), Alieu Kamara Taylor ( Deputy Treasurer), Saidu Jabbie(Auditor ),Africanus Sorie Sesay ( legal advice,r), etc.
