Dr Samura Kamara, the presidential candidate of APC in the upcoming elections, visited the Commonwealth Secretariat in London on 07 May 2023 to meet with the Secretary-General, Patricia Scotland KC, to discuss key issues related to the elections and national unity.

During the meeting, Dr Kamara and the Secretary-General discussed the importance of upholding democratic and Commonwealth values in the election process. They also discussed the need for peaceful and inclusive elections that promote national unity and respect for diversity.

Dr Kamara expressed his commitment to working with the Commonwealth to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections in Sierra Leone. He emphasised the need for all stakeholders to respect the rule of law, uphold human rights, and promote peaceful and constructive dialogue.
