Former and leading presidential candidate of the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) has today signed a book of condolence in respect of the death of Queen Elizabeth ll, and congratulated Charles Ill, on his ascension to the throne as King of England.

The signing took place at the residence of the British High Commissioner in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

On a statement shared on social media, Samura Kamara states that:

Today, I signed the book of condolence at the residence of the British High Commissioner, Her Excellency Lisa Chesney, on the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth Il (EllR). This is a difficult time for the entire Royal Family, the UK and the Commonwealth.

The Queen was a kind, patient and humble leader who embodied the culture, innovation and tolerance of Britain and the Commonwealth.
She will always be in our thoughts and prayers. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

I also take this opportunity to extend my warmest congratulations to our new King – Charles Ill, on his ascension to the throne, wishing him good health, happiness and every success. Long live our Gracious King.”
