A new Joint Venture Agreement between the Ministry of Information and Civic Education and the Diming Yimo Printing Group was laid before Parliament on Thursday, 9 July 2026, drawing commendation from the Speaker for ongoing reforms in government communication.

Presenting the agreement, dated 24 March 2026, Minister of Information and Civic Education Chernor Bah outlined continued efforts to strengthen the Ministry’s operations.

Reacting during the sitting, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas praised the Minister for what he described as a notable transformation in public communication, highlighting improved credibility and growing public trust in government information.

The Speaker noted that in the past, official communication was often met with scepticism, but said recent efforts by the Ministry have helped change that narrative through transparency and more effective engagement with the public.

“This House is proud of you, and I am extremely proud of you. Thank you very much for everything,” Rt. Hon. Thomas said.

In response, Minister Bah expressed appreciation for the commendation, describing the remarks as encouraging and reaffirming his commitment to sustaining transparent communication.

“Thank you very much, Mr Speaker, for those very kind words. I am humbled by your remarks,” he said.
