Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh has dismissed speculation about his relationship with Sierra Leone’s First Lady, Fatima Bio, saying their relationship remains cordial.

Speaking on AYV’s State of the Nation, Sengeh said he recently communicated with the First Lady and cautioned against drawing conclusions based solely on appearances.

“My relationship with the First Lady is great. I even sent her a message just two days ago. Looks can be deceptive, and I don’t go beyond appearances to make assumptions. She just returned from New York and did an amazing job. The whole country is proud of what she did, and we’re all excited for her.”

Sengeh’s comments came as he addressed questions about his relationship with the First Lady, emphasising that public appearances should not be used to infer tensions or disagreements between them.

He also praised the First Lady for her recent work in New York, saying her efforts had made the country proud.

The Chief Minister made the remarks during his appearance on AYV’s State of the Nation, according to AYV Media.
