Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission featured prominently at the 8th Annual General Assembly of the Association of African Anti-Corruption Authorities (AAACA), where Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala Esq. presented on the country’s asset declaration regime.
Addressing delegates from across Africa, Commissioner Kaifala highlighted a 99.61% compliance rate, which he said is among the highest on the continent. He also showcased Sierra Leone’s digital asset declaration system, noting that it has improved transparency, streamlined filing processes, and reduced manual errors.

The presentation received positive feedback from participants. A member of the AAACA Secretariat described Sierra Leone’s submission as one of the strongest country presentations, commending its data-driven approach and use of technology.
The AAACA General Assembly brought together heads and representatives of anti-corruption bodies across Africa to share best practices, review progress, and coordinate anti-corruption strategies.
