Sierra Leone Government Declares Tuesday as Public Holiday to Commemorate International Women’s Day
Morlai Ibrahim Kamara Office of the President, State house has issued a press statement declaring Tuesday 8th Match 2020 as Public holiday.
The press release informed the General Public that the international women’s Day will be observed on Tuesday 8th March 2022.
Accordingly, Tuesday 8th March 2022, has been declared a public holiday throughout the country.
International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th. 27 countries (mainly former Soviet republics) have adopted International Women’s Day as a national holiday, and it is widely observed in several others.
