The Head of the Community Relations Department of the Sierra Leone Police Force CSP Edina Silver and her team from Police Headquarters (PHQ), on Wednesday 26th April 2023, onboard SLP 308 with a loud Public Announcement System, conducted a peace and non-violence sensitization across Freetown east and west.

Joining the team at Shell New Road, the Regional CRD Coordinator Freetown-East Sgt 9585 Dumbuya E.S, and his Harbour CRD personnel urged all Sierra Leoneans to be peaceful and law-abiding, especially in the celebration of the country’s independence day and the forthcoming elections.

They encouraged the youths to stay away from violence and narcotic drugs like Kush, Cannabis Sativa, and Tramadol at all times.

They also reminded the youths about the dangers of using these drugs which cannot be limited to stealing or lawlessness, but also death or insanity. They therefore pleaded with the youths to be sober-minded and think wisely about their future and the peace of the country as a whole.

The team later proceeded to Ferry Junction, Up Gun roundabout, and Eastern Police Clock Tower where similar messages and election-related offences were preached to the public to raise their awareness for our nation to remain peaceful.
