Head of Media Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Brima Kamara has disclosed that from January to September 2021, the Complaints, Discipline and Internal Investigations Department (CDIID) has investigated disorderly behaviour and professional misconduct against 572 police officers.

Unity Newspaper reports that among this number, 6 have been dismissed, 49 suspended, 50 sent back for corrective training.

It also said that 23 were revoked, 18 struck off strength, 10 taken to Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for legal advice, 2 demoted and 414 pending.
