Sierra Leone-descent and winger Ismeal Kabia has joined Scottish Premiership club St Mirren on a season-long loan from Arsenal.

The 20-year-old, who joined Arsenal’s academy in March 2017, signed his first professional contract with the North London club in July 2024.

Kabia made his senior Arsenal debut during the 2024/25 season, featuring in the club’s 5-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup at Emirates Stadium.

His performances earned him a new professional contract in August 2025, before he moved to Shrewsbury Town on loan for the 2025/26 season.

The Dutch-born winger enjoyed a productive spell with the League Two side, making 43 appearances across all competitions.

Kabia will now continue his development in Scotland with St Mirren as he looks to gain further first-team experience in the Scottish Premiership.

The move remains subject to the completion of the necessary regulatory processes.

Arsenal have wished Kabia well during his loan spell and expressed their anticipation of his continued development.
