The Sierra Leone Police has published the names of over 1400 men and women who are qualified for recruitment and eligible for their examination.

The examination will commenced on Saturday 5 March 2022.

Individuals that applied for police recruitment are advised to check at various Police Headquarters in the country for their names.

Joining the Sierra Leone police Department is one of the easiest routes to finding job security with a considerably good salary.

According to Supt. Brima Kamara, the objective of the recruitment is to replace the retirees and would-be retires whose days are numbered in the SLP, noting that applicants for recruitment into the Force should be legible for short-listing and must have three credits in the West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE), including the two core subjects – Mathematics and English or four credits in NCTVA.

Applicants, he said, must be within the ages of 18-35 and must be physically fit, mentally sound and medically fit and must be ready and prepared for 2 to 10 weeks police training.

“Allowances will be provided at the training school for trainees,” assured Supt. Kamara. He, however, emphasized that successful applicants must pass the professional police entrance examination followed by an interview.
