BREAKING: Sierra Leoneans Protest Against Bio’s Government in Belgium
Aaron Parker Sierra Leoneans in Belgium have held a peaceful protest in front of the European Parliament in Brussels on Monday 13 February 2023, denouncing the ill-treatment, and alleged killings of Sierra Leoneans by the President Bio-led government.
A handful of Sierra Leoneans today held a peaceful protest against President Julius Maada Bio outside the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, displaying placards.
According to reports, the protest is to draw the attention of the World to what they say are the “serious human rights abuses and breaches of the constitution in Sierra Leone by the Bio-ledd government”.
This comes after President Julius Maada Bio arrived in Brussels at the invitation of the President of the European Union Council, Charles Michel, to discuss a further deepening of the Sierra Leone EU relationship which has been cordial under the New Direction government.
