Officials of Sierratel paid a courtesy visit to the Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, on Monday, 25th May 2026, as part of ongoing engagements aimed at strengthening the country’s telecommunications and digital transformation agenda.

During the meeting, the Vice President was presented with a Sierratel SIM card, a gesture the company described as a symbol of its commitment to delivering reliable, accessible, and modern telecommunications services to Sierra Leoneans across the country.

The visit brought together key stakeholders within Sierra Leone’s telecommunications and technology sector, including Sierratel MVNO Chief Executive Officer, Joe Abass Bangura, Chief Executive Officer of Africell Sierra Leone, Shadi Gerjawi, and the Minister of Communication, Technology and Innovation, Salima Monorma Bah.

According to Sierratel, the engagement underscored a shared commitment among government and private sector actors toward advancing digital connectivity, innovation, and inclusive technological development in Sierra Leone.

The company further emphasized that strengthening collaboration within the telecommunications industry remains essential to supporting the country’s broader digital transformation ambitions and improving access to communication services nationwide.
