The Sierra Leone Red Cross Society (SLRCS) is overseeing its Integrated Resilient Program (IRP) for Women and Girls in the Western Area.

SLRCS Community-based Volunteers from the IRP program conducted supportive supervision and monitoring of Savings and Loan Associations/Osusu women’s and girls’ groups in the rural/urban area of the Western region.

They utilized a Kobo tool to track the progress of their savings and social fund. The purpose of the activity was to determine the amount of money these women have raised and saved since the inception of the IRP program’s support for them.

This program is geared towards helping these women and girls have access to a loan in a way of gathering income through their own savings.

This is part of the process of the SLRCS trying to help in integrating activities that will support vulnerable women and girls with income.
