Central University in Mile 91 has completed a capacity-building project with U.S. Fulbright Specialist Dr. Katrina Struloeff aimed at strengthening teaching, research, curriculum development, and quality assurance.
The engagement focused on equipping university leaders, faculty, and staff with new tools and approaches to better prepare students for a competitive global economy.
Key areas of the programme included hands-on and project-based learning methods, strategies for strengthening research programmes, and the responsible use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
Through workshops and interactive discussions, participants explored practical approaches to updating curricula, improving academic quality standards, and integrating technology into classrooms while maintaining educational integrity.
University officials said the collaboration also laid the foundation for continued partnerships with U.S. academic and professional institutions, with the potential to expand exchange opportunities for both faculty and students.
Organisers described the initiative as an example of the value of international academic collaboration, noting that it reflects the importance of investing in people, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities through education and the free exchange of ideas.
