Former Sierra Leone Gender and Social Welfare Minister, Sylvia Blyden threatened to go after his former boss, Ex-President, Ernest Bai Koroma on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Blyden was responding to attacks by Abdul Will Kamara popularly known as ‘Adebayo’ who she believes was acting at the behest of former President Koroma.

“I promised to handle Ernest Koroma as an ungrateful wretch this week,” she said on Facebook.

Blyden revealed that these recent attacks on her are uncalled for claiming her innocence. “I did nothing to him,” she said. “I said nothing to him.”

She claimed that Koroma was targeting her because of his belief in “juju worshipping”.

Once closed friends, Blyden and Koroma became estranged after allegations revealed that it was Blyden who leaked the involvement of Koroma in the sale of State shares in a mining company, Sierra Rutile to the Julius Maada Bio administration. That and other evidences were used against Koroma in a Commissions of Inquiry (COI) set up to investigate malfeasance in Koroma’s administration.

Koroma, who is in exile in Nigeria, has not commented on the allegations made by Blyden but political analysts believe that this fracas will not be last between the two as evident in the past.
