Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, has organized a forest hike to Mount Gabon.

The three-hour hike offered participants an immersive experience into Sierra Leone’s rich biodiversity and the country’s ongoing conservation efforts.
The event featured an educational discussion about the wildlife sanctuaries in Sierra Leone, highlighting the elephants and hippopotamuses of Outamba Kilimi National Park.
Participants encountered diverse flora and fauna, including Daniella trees, snakes, and butterflies, while gaining valuable insights into the efforts being made to protect wildlife conservation.
