UNICEF Sierra Leone has bid farewell to Dr. Abdu Muwonge, World Bank Country Manager for Sierra Leone, during a courtesy meeting held to mark the conclusion of his assignment in the country.

The meeting provided an opportunity to acknowledge Dr. Muwonge’s partnership and contributions to Sierra Leone’s development agenda, while also reflecting on continued collaboration between UNICEF and the World Bank.

Discussions focused on key areas affecting children and families, including public finance for children, social protection, education, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), and systems strengthening.

UNICEF reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining collaboration with the World Bank and other development partners to ensure that investments in these areas deliver lasting benefits for children and families across Sierra Leone.
