WAEC Introduces Resit Option for Students in 2025
James Kamara-Manneh The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the introduction of a new “Resit Public Exams” policy in 2025.
This initiative allows students who fail a few subjects to retake only those specific papers instead of repeating the entire examination process.
The decision aims to ease the burden on candidates and improve access to certification for students who narrowly miss passing all their subjects. WAEC expressed optimism that the policy will encourage more students to complete their exams successfully.

But my question now is if a have sat and couldn’t get what she/him want (subjects) when she/him decides to resit is going to be a making new results or the old results will be just be rearrange?

If I have one or two subjects to complete, am I going to pay the same fees like the beginners?

But if the candidate result has been concluded,did he/she is allow to write the exams again 🙄 🤔
It’s a really nice thing, but what is going to happen to those schools that did not submit CASS YEAR ONE for the 2025 WASSCE exam, what is going to be the fate of our children, especially the girls, the number is indeed too much, please Mr. Minister forgive the head of schools and look into the future and outcome of our children ( your children).
Ok that’s great one, but we are sad at the other side of examination withheld results especially the 2024 past exams, since government and the ministry with the WAECE body promised us to look into the matter yet still no positive response from any of the body neither the ministry and this matter must be settled so we are really about to be out of patient and it will one day lead or warrant to public strike or call for protest.
Therefore we are kindly pleading to the ministry to talk to the WAECE body to resolved the issue.
