Popular Sierra Leonean Journalist and Station Manager of Radio Democracy, Asmaa James has reacted to videos making rounds showing derogatory comments by popular rapper, Alhaji Amadu Bah popularly known as Boss La.

Boss La had criticized Asmaa James after Radio Democracy aired the news about a bench warrant placed on him for failing to appear in court last week Monday.

“You don’t have something to say, you want me to call out who is using you, are you not talking about those that are using you, Asmaa James! Let me call you out now, you don’t have something to talk about, have you gone mad?”, Boss La said in the live video.

While reacting on Monday morning, Asmaa James wrote;

“Good morning my people,

“Many of you have reached out with regards to a certain derogatory video going around social media, insulting my personality. I am equally shocked and lost for words.

“The fact is, last week Monday, Radio Democracy aired a story in which a Magistrate of the Court of Sierra Leone is said to have ordered a bench warrant for the musician and rapper, popularly known as LAJ. I honestly don’t know how come he chose to publicly insult me for something I have absolutely nothing to do with.

“It has not been an easy 24 -hour for me and my family.

“However, be rest assured that my family and I will take the appropriate lawful action.

“Thank you all for your concerns and love.”
