Over the years, Rokel Commercial Bank strategy of giving back to society has bordered on several organizational policies including Corporate Social Responsibility.

The idea of CSR is set to integrate the bank’s social and environmental goals. Rokel Bank holds the reins of giving back to Sierra Leone through sports as a corporate institution in the Banking industry.

Recently, the bank struck a partnership deal with Mighty Blackpoll Football Club and offers support to the Sierra Leone Scrabble Association as part of its Corporate Social responsibility and a way strengthening ties and supporting Sporting Associations in the country.

The bank has worked with the SL Swimming Association, SL Boxing Association, Athletics, e.t.c. This partnership deal with Mighty Blackpool is in line with the Bank’s Managing Director, Ambassador Dr. Ekundayo Gilpin’s vision of supporting initiatives that empowers Sierra Leonean youths.

This is also in line with the pillars of the bank’s corporate social responsibility that believes sport is a unifying tool with immense power to promote sustainable human reforms amongst youth in the country.

Mighty Blackpoll Football club is one of the oldest Sierra Leone Premier League clubs in the country and the club is currently benefiting from Rokel CSR.

The Sierra Leone national scrabble Association recently presented a plaque to the Managing Director and CEO of the Bank to commend, appreciate and reflect on the great work of the Bank and its leader in recent past years.

Rokel Bank served as a key sponsor of the 2023 Sierra Leone National Scrabble 4th Edition competition.

Meanwhile, many financial institutions have been accused of not giving back to society.

However, as a corporate entity, Rokel bank believes that business can only thrive when the communities within which they work are equally thriving, thus the need for Rokel’s involvements in Corporate Social Responsibility drive to improve lives in the communities through sports.
