As the campaign for the June 24th, 2023 elections intensifies across the country, a member of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party has allegedly been beaten by supporters of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in Pujehun.

This allegation was made in a video circulating on social media with a man claiming to be an APC member explaining how he was badly beaten with his teeth broken by SLPP supporters.

According to the video, the man stated that he was coming from his uncle’s place and met one Mr. Koroma who asked him to bring his chair, on his way while bringing the chair, he met some guys who accused him of carrying an APC chair and asked him to drop it or they will kill him and started beating him until his teeth were broken.

According to a man in the video who identified himself as the APC publicity secretary for Pujehun District, they have made several complaints regarding attack on them in the district.

He said they want the International community to know what the SLPP is doing to them adding that it will reach a point where they will not allow such bullying.

“We have made several complaints and now calling on the international community to know what the SLPP is doing as it will reach a point when we will not agree to such”.

He claimed that the SLPP are always distracting their campaign in Pujehun as they always organized other activities during their (APC) approved campaign date in the district.
