All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer aspirant Sheikh Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has highlighted what he described as his financial contribution to expanding and upgrading the party’s offices across Sierra Leone.
Kamara made the statement on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, during an interview with veteran journalist Umaru Fofana on AYV’s State of the Nation Maiden programme.
He made the remarks while discussing the state of the APC’s organisational structures and the need for the party to strengthen its presence at district and regional levels.
He questioned how a major political party such as the APC could operate without permanent offices in several districts, urging party members to reflect on what he described as the factors that contributed to the party’s decline.
Kamara cited Masiaka as an example, claiming that the APC has one of the best party offices in the area, despite it not being the district headquarters. He noted that the district headquarters is located in Port Loko, where he said a major regional party office is currently being constructed.
He also said a large APC office is being developed in Kono, describing the planned facility as one that would rank among the party’s best offices.
In Kenema District, Kamara claimed that the APC previously operated from a rented facility costing about $10,000, but has now acquired property valued at approximately $200,000.
“They are now landlords, no more tenants,” Kamara said, presenting the development as evidence of progress in strengthening the party’s physical infrastructure.
His comments form part of his broader argument that the APC needs stronger organisational structures and permanent assets across the country as it prepares for its internal flagbearer contest and future electoral battles.
