The main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) has debunked rumours that their Presidential candidate, Dr. Samura Kamara requested voter’s slip from supporters in exchange for loans.
“The party wishes to inform members, supporters and the general public that there is no such instruction from the Leadership, and that the party is not asking anyone to surrender his or her voter/confirmation slip to anyone for micro credit offer,” the party said in a press release.
They added that the rumours are parts of a disinformation campaign meant to “deprive unsuspecting supporters from securing their voter identity cards” ahead of the June 2023 elections.
APC also urged all party supporters to keep their slips safe in order to be able to collect their voter’s slip.
