Reports reaching Sierraloaded have indicated that the former Vice President, Alhaji Samuel Sam Sumana is in tussle with the Secretariat of the APC party.

According to Satellite Newspaper, the conflict could lead Sam Sumana to quit the APC for the second time after he was forced to resign in 2015 after being sacked by former President Ernest Bai Koroma for seeking asylum at the US Embassy in Freetown.

Sam Sumana, who challenged his boss over the decision, left to form his party the Coalition for Change (C4C) and contested the 2018 elections.

However, he recently resigned from the said party to reaffirm his commitment to the APC.

Report indicated that sources close to the former Vice President is unhappy with the manner in which a letter written by the Secretariat addressed to him.

The letter is said to have been about his rejoining of the party.

The said letter written by the APC National Deputy Osman Timbo addressed Sam-Sumana’s application to rejoin the party as “readmission” rather than “reinstated”.

It is reported that Sam Sumana is unhappy with the said letter.

Earlier in February, he was snubbed from contesting for the APC’s Presidential Candidate position in the Makeni Delegates’ Conference.

Some members of the party were anticipating that he could be chosen as a running mate to Dr. Samura Kamara but the former Vice President was snubbed for Chernor Maju Bah popularly known as Chericoco.
