Evin Incir, Chief Observer, European Union Elections Observation Mission in Sierra Leone has met with the Chairman of the of Electoral Commission For Sierra Leone Mohamed Kenewui Konneh. 

During her strategic meeting with Mr. Konneh on her first day of visit to Sierra Leone, she presented the EU EOM core team analysts, as well as discussed the mission’s mandate and ongoing elections preparations as the ECSL will be the prime Prime interlocutor of the EU EOM during their course of observation.

The ElectoraCommissionon for Sierra Leone is a body empowered by the 1991 constitution of Sierra Leone the conduction of public elections in the country.

Incir is a Swedish politician of Kurdish descent for the Swedish Democratic Party. She has been serving as a member of the European Parliament since the 2019 European Elections.

Incir has been serving on the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice, and Home Affairs since 2019. In addition to her committee assignments, she has been part of the Parliament’s delegations to the EU-Turkey joint Parliamentary Committee since 2019 and to the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly since 2021.

In December 2020, Incir received the Best Newcomer award at Parliament Magazine’s annual MEP Awards. In June 2022, Incir won the award for diversity and social impact at Parliament Magazine’s MEP Awards.
