New party strongman for the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) party, Shiek Mohamed Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has responded to President Bio’s recent allegation of calling him a foolish man.

President Bio made this statement during a campaign rally in Blama, a town located in the southern region of Sierra Leone, where Jagaban was campaigning for the upcoming June 24th, 2023 elections.

In his response, Jagaban began by expressing his curiosity about the meaning of being labeled a foolish man.

He proceeded to refute President Bio’s claim by citing various development initiatives he claimed to have spearheaded in the Blama community.

Jagaban proudly declared, “If I am a foolish man and I am paying Imams and Pastors at Blama, thank God I want to be a foolish man.”

He emphasized that if providing financial support to religious leaders and paying teachers without a pin code in Blama were characteristics of a foolish man, he gladly embraced the title.

Expanding on his achievements, Jagaban highlighted his contributions towards the construction of a hospital and the development of roads in Blama. These accomplishments, he argued, further validated his willingness to be associated with the term “foolish man.”
