The Parliamentary Leader of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hon. Abdul Kargbo, has provided an update on arrangements following the death of the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, assuring party supporters and the public that steps are underway to return his remains to Sierra Leone for burial.

Speaking from Dakar, Senegal, Hon. Kargbo disclosed that he was leaving Pôle Santé de Dakar Clinique Mixte to accompany the late chairman’s wife, popularly known as Aunty Kay, to her residence in Senegal after the passing of her husband.

He explained that the remains of Alhaji Mansaray had been transferred to a mortuary in Dakar while preparations continue for the repatriation of the body to Sierra Leone, where he is expected to be accorded a dignified burial.

According to Hon. Kargbo, the death of the APC National Chairman has brought deep sorrow to the party and the nation, describing the loss as a painful moment for the APC family and all those who knew and worked with the late political leader.

The APC Parliamentary Leader noted that prayers continue to be offered for strength and comfort for the bereaved family, party members and supporters during the difficult period of mourning.

Hon. Kargbo also expressed appreciation to the Government of Sierra Leone for the support and cooperation extended throughout the process, highlighting the role of state authorities in facilitating the necessary arrangements following the chairman’s death.

As plans advance for the transportation of the late chairman’s remains, Hon. Kargbo called on party faithful and sympathizers to remain united in prayer and reflection as the APC prepares to bid farewell to one of its most senior leaders.

Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray served as National Chairman of the APC and was a prominent figure in the party’s leadership. Details of the funeral arrangements are expected to be announced after the completion of repatriation procedures.
